ভোরের প্রথম আলো যখন পাহাড় ছুঁয়ে আসে, তখন দিগন্তে ধীরে ধীরে উদ্ভাসিত হয় মহিমান্বিত কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘার রূপ। মেঘের আড়াল ভেঙে তুষারশুভ্র শিখর যখন রোদে ঝলমল করে ওঠে, সেই দৃশ্য মনকে ভরে তোলে এক গভীর প্রশান্তিতে। আমাদের হোমস্টের বারান্দা বা জানালার পাশে বসে এক কাপ গরম চা হাতে সেই দৃশ্য উপভোগ করা— যেন সময় থমকে যাওয়ার এক অপূর্ব মুহূর্ত।

পশ্চিমবঙ্গের কালিম্পং জেলার পেডং-এর কাছে সিলেরি গাঁও-এ অবস্থিত রামিতে দারা ভিউপয়েন্ট, সমুদ্রপৃষ্ঠ থেকে প্রায় ৬,৪০০ ফুট (১,৯৫০ মিটার) উচ্চতায় অবস্থিত । এটি কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা পর্বতমালার সাথে তিস্তা নদীর দীর্ঘতম প্যানোরামিক দৃশ্যের জন্য বিখ্যাত।

পশ্চিমবঙ্গের কালিম্পং-এর সিলেরিগাওন এর কাছে ১৭ শতকের লেপচা ধ্বংসাবশেষ, দামসাং দুর্গ, ৬,৩০০ ফুট উঁচু পাহাড়ের চূড়া থেকে আশেপাশের পাহাড়, উপত্যকা এবং বনের মনোরম দৃশ্য দেখা যায় । এটি একটি ঐতিহাসিক এবং মনোরম স্থান , যা সিলেরিগাঁও থেকে ট্রেকিং / হাইকিং করে যাওয়া যায়।

Ramitey Dara Viewpoint, located near Sillery Gaon in the Kalimpong district of West Bengal, is situated at an altitude of approximately 6,400 feet (1,950 meters) above sea level. It is famous for offering the longest panoramic view of the meandering Teesta River along with the Kanchenjunga range.

সিলেরিগাওন এ শীতকাল (ডিসেম্বর থেকে ফেব্রুয়ারি) এক অপূর্ব স্বচ্ছ সৌন্দর্য নিয়ে আসে। এই সময় গড় তাপমাত্রা প্রায় ৪°সে থেকে ১২°সে-এর মধ্যে থাকে। পরিষ্কার নীল আকাশে কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘার দৃশ্য বিশেষভাবে মনোমুগ্ধকর। শীতকালীন মৌসুমি ফুল ফুটে চারপাশ রঙিন হয়, কমলালেবুর বাগান ভরে ওঠে ফলে, আর কুয়াশামাখা ভোর ও সোনালি সূর্যাস্ত তৈরি করে এক স্বপ্নিল আবহ।
সিলেরিগাওন এ বসন্তকাল (মার্চ থেকে মে) রঙ ও সজীবতায় ভরে ওঠে। এই সময় গড় তাপমাত্রা প্রায় ১০°সে থেকে ২০°সে-এর মধ্যে থাকে। পাহাড় জুড়ে রডোডেনড্রন, অর্কিড ও নানা বুনো ফুল ফোটে। নির্মল আকাশে কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা স্পষ্ট দেখা যায়, পাখির কলতান আর সতেজ হাওয়া প্রকৃতিকে করে তোলে প্রাণময় ও উজ্জ্বল।
সিলেরিগাওন এ গ্রীষ্মকাল (জুন থেকে আগস্ট) মনোরম ও স্নিগ্ধ। এই সময় গড় তাপমাত্রা প্রায় ১৫°সে থেকে ২৫°সে। পাহাড় সবুজে ভরে ওঠে, বুনো ফুল ও অর্কিড ফুটে রঙ ছড়ায়। হালকা বৃষ্টি ও ভেসে আসা মেঘ পাহাড়ে রহস্যময় সৌন্দর্য আনে, আর নির্মল হাওয়া মনকে রাখে সতেজ।
সিলেরিগাওন এ বর্ষাকাল (জুলাই থেকে সেপ্টেম্বর) সবুজে ভরে ওঠে। এই সময় গড় তাপমাত্রা প্রায় ১৬°সে থেকে ২২°সে। টানা বৃষ্টিতে পাহাড় জুড়ে ফার্ন, শ্যাওলা ও নানা বুনো ফুল সতেজ হয়ে ওঠে। ভেসে আসা মেঘ, কুয়াশা ও ভেজা মাটির সোঁদা গন্ধ মিলে তৈরি করে এক স্বপ্নময়, শান্ত পাহাড়ি পরিবেশ।
